2007 Surface Design conference Solo exhibition at the Leedy Voulkos Art Center
Kansas City. Selected to give a demonstration, and lead a four day workshop. Award from Arts Council (Lottery fund) towards the exhibition.

“Transient Surface” – European Abstraction an exhibition of the work of five European batik Artists (one of the special exhibitions during the World Batik conference)

Helsinki: Finland August. Northern Fibre 6.(wo)man and technology: Selected to participate in an international workshop and related exhibition organised by the Finnish Textile Artists Association.

Germany: Gallery Smend, Koln : group exhibition/book launch Dyrenforths new book

Belgium Museum of Industrial Archaology and Textiles, Gent : ‘Art in Motion’: group exhibition
Netherlands : Silkmuseum Meliskerke, Middlesburg: Solo exhibition: Workshops were undertaken in Delft and in Zeeland.
Denmark: Surface Design/Tradition and Technology, Aarhus Kunstbygnyng :The project was spread over five days and involved exhibiting work, giving a masterclass and taking part in a symposium which explored links between old and new technology. The paper for the symposium was ‘Layers of Time’. The Masterclass combined combined digital imaging withcollage and traditional textile techniques.

Germany: Hanover Handwerksform: ‘Batik of Change’
Exhibit included resist dyed layered silk books, and digital collage books.
Japan : Awarded a travel bursery from Yorkshire Arts to travel to japan and exhibit in a group exhibition in Saitama, at Prefectural museum of Modern Art .
2001/2
Germany: Berlin Galerie im parc: ‘Taktha’; Exhibition. Symposium paper: "Batik in the Digital Age"
The exhibition travelled to Gallery Smend in Koln; and Central Museum of Textiles : Lodz : POLAND.
The exhibition was also preceded by two promotional exhibitions in Berlin: ‘Kunst fordert Kunst’ and ‘Tarien Warna

With New fibre Art: Norton Priory ‘Fibre in the open’, an exhibition in a Medieval walled garden. With Sheffield contemporary Artists at the
Bishops House Museum, Sheffield Cathedral, Sheffield Botanic Gardens, Midland Railway Station and Bolsover Castle

MULTI MEDIA COLLABORATIONS: A collaborative multi media work “ Fall of Flower” took place in 2004 with sound technician Jessica Hodson and poet Liz Cashdan. This incorporated moving image, sound and words and was exhibited at various venues in Sheffield. This was followed by ‘Shadows’ (2006) a piece inspired by autograph albums kept by a stewardess on the Transatlantic liners in the 1930’s. In both works I created the image sequence and collaborated on productionA new collaboration 'Healing' is planned for 2008 and will be exhibited at Norton Priory, Runcorn

ARTISTS UNIQUE BOOKS, COLLABORATIONS AND EDITIONS
Unique Books : A good many of my pieces, in collage and in Dye, have been formed as books. E.g. Pandoras box mood blue, and Mood Cyan are visual stories, which combine the real, and the illusory, in both batik process, and in Digital process.
‘Out of Darkness’, A visual story which exists both in electronic form, and as a tactile piece in which I explored the idea of the inevitability of evolutionary change.
Editions have included
A time of Roses : an edition o 25 copies. A Dyeing Art : a limited edition book of 100 copies, written, to accompany a solo exhibition of the same name. An explanation in text and visuals :why use dye. Black Flame : A facsimile book.

Book Collaboratations with the poet Liz Cashdan, consist of three handmade books which combine visual and textual.

Blueness : edition 100 : a fold book of silk and paper construction
Waterfall : 45 made
Flotsam : Four made

TEACHING, DEMONSTRATIONS, WORKSHOPS
At present I ama part time lecturer at the Sheffield College, teaching Textiles, Digital imaging and Bookarts. Over thirty years I have undertaken many demonstrations, workshops and residencies with schools, and with private groups.
