Pat Hodson's unique pieces involve a fusion of hand collage and digital or 'Giclee' print. In these experimental surfaces the fabric is layered with paper tissue. The pieces are designed to be hung without glass and are waxed, which will help protect against light and humidity.

The image on screen develops through a complex layering of scanned source material with computer drawing in which the original idea might evolve into one or a sequence of linked visuals and books. Complexity is increased further through the layers of tactile material on which the image is pri nted.

INK : Epson Ultrachrome Pigmented inks which have a long life expectancy. This longevity is further enhanced if they are placed behind glass or UV coated acrylic sheet.

Some of the original images and books are numbered and editioned available printed on to stiffened silk. Others on proprietory papers sucb as Epson Enhanced Matt paper and Canvas cloth. These Giclee prints are not reproductions of existing work. The image exists only as an original digital print.

Prints should never be displayed in a position where direct sunlight falls upon them.
